Microsoft officially announced
.NET Core 3.0, a major pillar in the .Net family from the traditional, Windows-based .Net Framework to a completely new open-source, cross-platform offering – the new trend for .NET developers.The milestone’s value comes from increasing new capabilities. It consolidates several enhancements, including adding WPF & Windows Forms, support for ARM64, adding new JSON APIs and improving performance across the board. C# 8 is also part of this release, which includes async streams, nullable & more patterns. F# 4.7 is also added and focused on relaxing syntax and targeting .NET Standard 2.0. The great thing is that you can start updating your existing projects to target .NET Core 3.0. The release is compatible with earlier versions, makes updating process simpler.
